Naira Devaluation and Nigeria Economy!
The call from all quarters for Nigeria to further devalue her currency in the face of financial downturn currently face by the country. The call seems to be gaining a lot of momentum, but the question one one will like to ask is: Will Nigeria Gain or Lose from devaluing her currency?
Since Nigeria is an import dependent nation, apart from Crude Nigeria has nothing relevant(finished products) to offer the rest of the world. Now I ask again? What will be the Gain of currency devaluation for Nigeria?
It seems Nigeria and her citizens are in for a bumpy ride, if the present government fails to radically tackle the problem facing the economy.
If we continue to work hard, explore all the available resources (human and natural) and keep hope alive, I see Nigeria rising above all her challenges and becoming the the economic hub of africa and a choice destination for the whole world.
